Rennes and Paris, January 22, 2024 – The European cybertech publisher of the SOC platform Sekoia XDR (eXtended Detection & Response) for detecting cyberattacks in real time, today announced the entry of Guillaume Poupard into its Board of Directors.
The former Director General of ANSSI (National Agency for Information Systems Security) and current Deputy General Director of Docaposte will provide advice and support, based on his vast expertise, to the company’s projects with a view to making Sekoia.io the leader in cyber detection and response in Europe.
A few months after its record Series A fundraising of €35M, and just a few days after the transfer of its head office to Rennes, the arrival of Guillaume Poupard comes at a key moment in the company’s development, and in a context of increasing cybersecurity challenges for European companies.

The detailed knowledge of the ecosystems of European and global public and private actors acquired by Guillaume Poupard in his previous functions, at ANSSI as well as within ministries, will help the company in its strategic development decisions and collaborations at European and international level, with a view to building a harmonized European offer against increasing cyber threats.

Biography of Guillaume Poupard
A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique (promotion X92) and doctor in cryptology, he began his career as head of the cryptology laboratory of the Central Directorate for Information Systems Security (DCSSI) which would become, in 2009, the National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI). In 2005, he joined the Ministry of Defense where he specialized in cyberdefense, before joining the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) in 2010 as head of the information systems security and cyberdefense divisions. As Director General of ANSSI from 2014 to 2022, Guillaume Poupard played a key role in asserting France’s leadership in cybersecurity on a European and international scale, both by promoting a harmonized European response to cyber threats and by helping to bring together ecosystems of public and private actors on cybersecurity issues.
Since January 2023, he has been Deputy Managing Director of Docaposte, leader in trusted digital technologies, in particular in charge of technological assets around artificial intelligence, cyber, IT and the cloud.
